UX Consulting
Turn UX friction into conversion, retention, and customer satisfaction gains.
Poor user experience is a revenue problem masquerading as a design problem. We conduct UX audits, heuristic evaluations, and usability testing sessions on your existing product, then deliver a prioritised action plan that maps UX improvements directly to business outcomes — conversion uplift, churn reduction, support ticket reduction.
What you get
What's included in our
UX Consulting engagement
Heuristic Evaluation Against Nielsen's 10 Principles
A systematic expert review of your entire product against established usability heuristics — identifying consistency issues, missing feedback mechanisms, unclear error states, and navigation breakdowns that your internal team has become blind to through familiarity.
Moderated Usability Testing Sessions
We recruit users from your target audience and observe them completing real tasks in your product — unscripted, on their own devices. The sessions are recorded and analysed to surface the friction points, confusion moments, and workarounds that analytics alone can't reveal.
Prioritised Action Plan with Business Impact Estimates
Audit findings are ranked by business impact and implementation effort — a 2×2 matrix that tells you exactly which UX fixes to implement in the next sprint versus which to address in the next quarter. Each recommendation includes a specific implementation brief, not just a vague problem statement.
Our process
How we deliver UX Consulting
Expert Heuristic Review
Our UX specialists walk through your entire product as a new user would, documenting usability issues against a structured 40-point checklist covering heuristics, accessibility, mobile behaviour, and conversion-critical flows. Findings are captured with annotated screenshots.
Moderated User Testing
We design a task-based usability test protocol covering your highest-stakes user flows — onboarding, core feature use, checkout, upgrade — and run sessions with 5–8 participants from your target user profile. Sessions are recorded and clips are tagged by finding type.
Data Synthesis and Pattern Finding
We synthesise audit findings, usability test recordings, and any available analytics data into a unified finding set, clustering issues by theme and severity. Patterns that appear across multiple data sources are given higher prioritisation weight.
Actionable Recommendations Delivery
We present a written report and recorded presentation covering: severity-ranked findings, root cause analysis, specific design recommendations with annotated wireframe sketches, and a 30-60-90 day implementation roadmap keyed to your team's development capacity.

Technologies we use
Why Palsoro for UX Consulting
We Attach Business Impact to Every Finding
A list of UX problems is not valuable — a prioritised plan tied to conversion, retention, and support cost outcomes is. Every recommendation we make is framed in terms of the business metric it improves, so your engineering team knows what to build first.
Independent Perspective Your Team Can't Have
You cannot objectively evaluate your own product after working on it for months. We bring the fresh perspective that surfaces the issues your team has normalised, combined with the pattern recognition from having evaluated dozens of products across multiple sectors.
Recommendations You Can Actually Implement
We design audit recommendations within the constraints of your existing design system, tech stack, and team capacity. We don't recommend a complete rebuild when targeted improvements will achieve 80% of the value in 20% of the time.
A comprehensive UX audit with heuristic review, usability testing recruitment and facilitation, analysis, and report delivery typically takes 3–4 weeks. An expert-only audit without user testing can be completed in 1–2 weeks for products with up to 50 screens.
We prefer to test with participants who match your actual user profile. We can work from your existing customer list (with appropriate consent), recruit through our participant panel, or work with your customer success team to identify willing participants for testing sessions.
An audit is a point-in-time assessment — valuable for identifying current issues, but not a substitute for ongoing research. We recommend a UX audit as a high-value starting point, followed by a lightweight continuous research practice (monthly usability tests, regular analytics review) to catch new issues as your product evolves.
Both options are available. We can deliver the audit report for your team to implement, or we can transition directly into a design sprint to implement the highest-priority recommendations. Many clients find it efficient to have us implement the critical fixes immediately after the audit while the findings are fresh.
